OSMORED IS THE TEST PANEL FOR DETERMINATION OF ERYTHROCYTE OSMOTIC RESISTANCE (R.O.E.).

 

Erythrocyte Osmotic Resistance (E.O.R.) indicates the ability of red blood cells to resist lysis under conditions of osmotic stress. The E.O.R. is measured by Simmel’s test to assess the presence of red blood cell abnormalities and, consequently, diagnose certain types of anemia. The test, performed on whole blood, allows the evaluation of the lysis resistance of erythrocyte membranes in the presence of a distilled water solution and at increasing concentrations of NaCl solution.

Eurospital has developed the Osmored product panel for the determination of Erythrocyte Osmotic Resistance (E.O.R.), which includes the Osmored kits (84 and 42 tests) and the Osmored Monotest kit with the dedicated Lettore Eurospital.

Osmored

Kit for the determination of erythrocyte hyper- and hypo- osmotic resistance (ROE) by spectrophotometric reading.
The kit consists of two iso-osmotic, buffered solutions containing glycerol.

Osmored Monotest

Kit for the determination of erythrocyte osmotic resistance (ROE) containing hyper- and hypo- osmotic resistance test cuvettes and their corrsponding buffer solutions in single-dose format.
The kit enables rapid performance of the test on the Eurospital reader (Cod. 9225).
