Two years after its launch, Eurospital continues to invest in the development of its Personal Care range, expanding its portfolio with new solutions designed to address the evolving health and well-being needs of consumers across multiple therapeutic areas.

Launched in 2023 and distributed through pharmacies and parapharmacies, the Personal Care range initially comprised a selection of laxative products for adults and children, alongside a range of galenic preparations, including oils and creams valued for their emollient and skin-repairing properties, as well as their strengthening effects on nails and hair.

Recognising that the personal care sector requires not only high-quality products but also the flexibility to adapt to emerging market trends, Eurospital has further expanded its offering with products that reflect changing lifestyles and consumers’ growing awareness of the importance of maintaining good health.

From prescription and over-the-counter medicines to medical devices and self-diagnostic kits, and from cosmetics to food supplements, the Personal Care range offers a comprehensive selection of effective products, formulated with carefully selected ingredients and manufactured according to rigorous production standards.

The expanded product portfolio includes 14 solutions addressing different therapeutic and personal care needs.

In the area of respiratory well-being, the range includes nasal strips, designed to facilitate breathing and provide immediate relief; aromatic patches containing essential oils, intended for application to clothing; and nasal irrigation devices for gentle cleansing of the nasal cavities.

For ear hygiene, the range includes beeswax ear cones, while the new single-dose saline solution ampoules provide a practical option for relieving discomfort associated with sensitivities affecting the eyes and nasal passages.

Further additions include analgesic and antipyretic medicines for the symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain and fever, specimen collection containers for urine testing and sample collection, and a hot water bottle designed to provide long-lasting warmth safely, ensuring prolonged comfort during cold winter days or helping to relieve pain.

The existing range of sterile, single-use syringes, equipped with extra-fine needles designed to minimise discomfort and already available in 5 ml and 10 ml sizes, has also been expanded with the introduction of a new 2.5 ml format, further broadening the product offering.

“A historical reference to sterile, single-use syringes is particularly relevant, as they provide a tangible example of the innovative philosophy that has consistently guided Eurospital’s business development.

In the 1960s, following the untimely death of her husband, company founder Giorgio Kropf, Hella Kropf assumed leadership of Eurospital. Demonstrating remarkable foresight, she decided to introduce Stylex to the Italian market, the first disposable syringe, which represented a major breakthrough in the prevention of hospital-acquired infections.

Before its introduction, syringes were repeatedly reused, significantly increasing the risk of transmitting infectious diseases. The adoption of Stylex provided physicians, patients, and healthcare professionals with a safe and practical solution, contributing substantially to reducing the spread of infections.”

The renewed and expanded Personal Care range reflects Eurospital’s longstanding expertise in the pharmaceutical sector and its continued commitment to improving people’s health and well-being.

This tradition is deeply rooted in the corporate values of ethics, transparency, and trust, which have historically underpinned Eurospital’s enduring relationships with healthcare professionals.

Continuing to pursue its mission of developing innovations that improve people’s lives, Eurospital’s expanded Personal Care portfolio offers innovative, high-value solutions that keep pace with evolving market dynamics and meet the expectations of consumers who are increasingly attentive to quality, safety, and sustainability.
